Regarding Operation Titstorm

February 11, 2010 4:38 pm by

AnonSA does not endorse or support the recent attempts by Anonymous hackers to attack government websites. We are a peaceful protest group. While we agree that the government’s proposed internet censorship legislation is an ill-conceived idea, we do not condone the methods taken by the individuals responsible for the DDoS attacks as an appropriate way to engage with the government.

Please refer to the post below regarding Operation Didgeridie for the methods we do encourage.

Nick Xenophon Calls for Investigation

November 18, 2009 5:39 pm by

As of 17th November, Independent Senator Nick Xenophon has made official accusations against the Church of Scientology in the Senate. He has called for a police investigation into the organization and an official review of Scientology’s tax exempt status.

There is an ongoing discussion in the forums HERE

“Operation Didgeridie” and the “war” on the Australian Government

September 9, 2009 8:49 pm by

On 9/9/9, Anonymous internationally announced a “war” on the Australian Government over the proposed Internet Censorship plans spearheaded by Senator Stephen Conroy.

This was announced via an Internet Video on YouTube

Part of the actions proposed in this war includes a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack against Australian Government websites.

This has been reported at the Herald Sun.

ANONSA WOULD LIKE TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT WE DO NOT SUPPORT THE DDOS OR ANY OTHER ILLEGAL ACTIONS.

As we always have, We do NOT support or condone any illegal activities against the Australian Government (or the Church of Scientology). We encourage peaceful, legal action only.

We would like to encourage Anonymous and members of the Australian Public to take action against the Australian Government—peacefully and legally. You do not need to identify as “Anonymous” or wear the Guy Fawkes mask to participate.

We are looking for as many people as possible to:

  1. Send a letter to your Minister about the Proposed Internet Censorship
  2. Send a letter to Senator Stephen Conroy.
  3. Talk to everyone about Internet Censorship. Put it on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, forums, talk to your friends, your family, and your cat.
  4. Make posters (and share them here) and put them on Community Noticeboards or anywhere you can get attention
  5. Phone Senator Stephen Conroy’s office about the Censorship
  6. Phone your Minister about the Censorship
  7. Send faxes to Ministers about the Censorship
  8. Phone talk-back radio about the Censorship
  9. Contact local television stations about the Censorship
  10. Write letters to the Editor of your local Newspaper about the Censorship…

In short, tell as many people as many ways as possible about the Censorship.

Finally, we hope to arrange a protest against the Internet Censorship—not as Anonymous, but as Australian Citizens. Perhaps there will be more information on this later.

And again, we do NOT support the DDoS!

Update:

REALLY good commentary here regarding the attack, better than any of the stories.

Somebody think of the children

U got Scientology in my Government Website

July 13, 2009 7:48 pm by

On the weekend, the South Australian government launched their system which links off to all of it’s vast and deep bureaucracy. whoopdy floosits.

Upon closer inspection after the launch, AnonSA found that Scientology was listed under multiple sections!

Under:

  • Volunteer Organisations
  • Community Services

and “Churches, Religions and Philosophies”.

AnonSA, via twitter; brought this to the attention of Premier Mike Rann… of which since it has MYSTERIOUSLY DISSAPEARED from the sa.gov.au site.

We congratulate the premier for making some phonecalls and kicking some administrative ass, but…

The real question is, How did it get there in the first place?

Nobody appears to be coming forward, so what is left is idle speculation.

Any ideas, dear readers?

Premier?

Association with Scientology now political suicide

May 24, 2009 10:08 pm by

Late April this year, emails were supposedly leaked implicating the Labor party in underhand dealings with Applied Scholastics, a Scientology linked company.

Later it was revealed they were forgeries. There is an element of truth in this discussion, regardless of the emails legitimacy, it’s become evident to the general public that Scientology is not a credible organisation. This same truth we have been reiterating. Scientology is dangerous, and association with it is damaging not only to yourself but your reputation.

“I would never do a favour for the Church of Scientology founded by a loony called L. Ron Hubbard” -(Premier Mike Rann, May 2009.)

The public are becoming more aware of the insidious nature of Scientology and its appendage organisations. Their underhand tactics are now more than ever becoming transparent to the general public.

I do not believe that this would have been achieved as quickly without efforts like Project Chanology and groups like AnonSA.

This is why we must continue pressing on.

WE’RE /B/ACK, THIS SATURDAY.

February 18, 2009 8:55 pm by

/B/ROTHERS AND S/I/STERS,

INTERNET DENIZENS AND REGULAR FOLKS,

On February 21st we celebrate one year of Project Chanology. We encourage all whom have come in the past year (and those whom haven’t yet) to come and party with us at the Anoniversary!

The video above talks of some of our successes in 2008, and that is only what has happened in ADELAIDE, there has been much going on all over the world.

Despite fear-mongering propaganda from Scientology, we have proven in the hearts and minds of the South Australian public and government that we are peaceful protestors.

This is no easy feat, considering for most, the concept of a friendly person with no outward identity can seem daunting.

But we have done it before and we will do it again!

We have come a long way in a very short amount of time.

Let it be known:

WE’RE BACK, 1PM, Saturday 21st February, Victoria Square.

See you there, Anonymous.
