Later it was revealed they were forgeries. There is an element of truth in this discussion, regardless of the emails legitimacy, it’s become evident to the general public that Scientology is not a credible organisation. This same truth we have been reiterating. Scientology is dangerous, and association with it is damaging not only to yourself but your reputation.
“I would never do a favour for the Church of Scientology founded by a loony called L. Ron Hubbard†-(Premier Mike Rann, May 2009.)
The public are becoming more aware of the insidious nature of Scientology and its appendage organisations. Their underhand tactics are now more than ever becoming transparent to the general public.
I do not believe that this would have been achieved as quickly without efforts like Project Chanology and groups like AnonSA.
On February 21st we celebrate one year of Project Chanology. We encourage all whom have come in the past year (and those whom haven’t yet) to come and party with us at the Anoniversary!
The video above talks of some of our successes in 2008, and that is only what has happened in ADELAIDE, there has been much going on all over the world.
Despite fear-mongering propaganda from Scientology, we have proven in the hearts and minds of the South Australian public and government that we are peaceful protestors.
This is no easy feat, considering for most, the concept of a friendly person with no outward identity can seem daunting.
But we have done it before and we will do it again!
We have come a long way in a very short amount of time.
Let it be known:
WE’RE BACK, 1PM, Saturday 21st February, Victoria Square.
Take note, fellow anons, that Adelaide plans to take to the streets to protest the dangerous practices of the Scientology corporation on Saturday November 22nd. The usual meeting place and time applies (2pm at Victoria Square’s North-West corner). Ditto the usual expectations of behaviour (don’t break the law, keep yr cool, etc).
For further details, get into the planning thread, or hit the IRC and start locking them in! A poster has been designed, but handouts and even the theme, still need to be developed. Get into it anonymous!!
After some (ongoing) planning in the thread for August 16th, We have come up with a number of the details for the next protest.
For August, our theme will be “Operation: Tax the Cult!” or, for a more Australian spin, “Operation: Tax the Bastards!”
The details for the protest are:
Date: August 16th Time: 2:00pm Meeting Location: Victoria Square (northern side, as per usual)
Route Plan:
Start At Victoria Square
March down King William St
Head down Waymouth St, and spend 1 hour and 5 minutes out the front of the Scientology building. (long enough to give the Security Guards an extra hour of pay :P)
Big ass banners and other signs if you took the time to make one of these before (the big 1s, the looong 1s, the sheet 1s, the 1s on poles, etc) it’d be so great to see them all flying again [thread]
Petition (the same as before? or a tax-specific one? What about form letters for people to sign and post to their MP either then/later?)
Party hard attitude; the lulz, the caek, the win, the confectionery! remember?
Loud music; it has always been win but you can never have enough [thread]
YOU and your friends: In the City, Bustin teh Cultz
???
Profit!!
The standard fare for how the raids will progress and how to behave applies to this raid just as much as the others:- No Drugs, Alcohol, Weapons, Violence, Hateful speak/actions. Always follow road traffic rules, move out the way for foot traffic, only cross the road for the green man. If members of the group are stuck on the wrong side of the road, the rest of the group should stop and wait for them to catch up – you guys know how to behave, and I don’t expect any problems. The police as usual, will be following us for everybody’s safety.
Help us with the planning for this event by offering your comments and suggestions either here in the comments, or in this thread.
A great protest was had, a very high energy protest, as you can see by the video below.
A high energy—and at times, acrobatic—protest started off at 2pm. We talked with the police, as they had asked to contact Anonymous. It’s funny seeing a policeman say an IRC nickname seriously.
We headed off the same path, we handed out over 300 flyers and even Jane Lomax-Smith dropped by and made a few choice comments that you should really see for yourself.
A great time had by all, even the security guards were laughing with us, scientologists coming and going (albeit taking our photos) and we were informed by the police that there were children inside, so we played some battletoads and fun songs for them.
So why not come down next protest? We had a blast, you will too.
Have fun taking down a dangerous cult in your spare time.
