Thought we could all do with a foot up the arse re: next raid. Looks like Saturday August 16 is the go-date and 2pm has been a good time to meet at Victoria Square.

Where do we wanna go this time?
There has been talk of finishing at Rymill Park or somewhere similar that would give us better public exposure/flyering opportunities. Perhaps we could go from Vic Square, up KW St to CoS for a bit (don't wanna make them feel left out), then continue up KW St, then down Rundle Mall/Street and congregate at Rymill Park (across from the Stag/Cafe Primo at the end of Rundle St, near Nth Tce corner) [Route Idea; Map]

considering the J-Lo exposure, we should court and invite the media via press releases ASAP (instead of the week of the raid) which I am happy to do if peeps wanna hivemind another presspack (the May 10 one is still on the front page) - this media coverage should be referenced/leveraged in any raid handouts too imho

tl dr; Let's get the details sorted ASAP, so we can get some raid-specific posters/invites out there

The route looks great, I think we should stop at the CoS for a bit though, like maybe an hour, and then head to the park.

Although, there is perhaps a slight problem, aren't there markets down Rundle St on saturdays? or is that sundays?

I fully support the press release idea. I think we should just keep it short and sweet.

“just keep it short and sweet.” prolly just need a 'localised' press release, rather than a “pack” of stuff. they know who we are.

markets are sunday (phew) + i can't see anything on the events calendars planned for that day either.

def stay for at least an hour at the CoS (the guards get paid extra for Saturdays) ;)

Needless to say, I think it's an awesome route. I  agree the fliers / stickers / press invites need to go out asap.

FYI: As this is more or less the end of our hibernation period, we need to get off our butts and push / invite the familiar faces, and friends back into the game! I'd like to see between 20 to 50 people there!

Although there may be more..

http://forums.enturbulation.org/26-think-tank/august-theme-anonymous-takes-back-chanology-22221

FYI I have an awesome flier for the next protest! http://www.anonsa.org/wpg2?g2_itemId=5386

Ok folks.. here is a flier / poster. Now is the time to distribute them. Also now is also the time to reawaken our numbers / old members. The weather should be better, lets put in the effort to up that turnout! Other states have ~40-50 per protest, changing around. We can do that easy! Heck we did it before old man winter turned on us! =)

As you can see the time is now…. shake your old friends awake! Bring new ones in!
Get them out of the basements and at YOUR protest on August 16th!

<EpicTallGuy> Fluffingtn, what's the situation with SA?
<EpicTallGuy> are you guys giong to go with Tax the Cult theme, or Cult Ficiton?
<EpicTallGuy> with the pending government review of tax exempt religions, i think australia could go with Operation Tax the Bastards

I think we should go with the Op: Tax the Cult theme considereing the splash we made with the J-Lo thing :)

oh hell yes! party harder!!
“tax the cult”
“audit the cult”
it all fits so much better on signs!!! and gr8 timing 2 :)

[Edited thread title and link on enturb planning thread]

OK sum things i saw at previous raids that could go off at the next raid:

1. Big ass banners and other signs
if u took the time 2 make 1 of these b4 (the big 1s, the looong 1s, the sheet 1s, the 1s on poles, etc) it'd be so gr8 2 see them allllll flying again [thread]

2. Petition (the same as b4? or a tax-specific one? wot about form letters for ppl to sign and post to their MP either then/later?)

3. Party hard attitude; the lulz, the caek, the win, the confectionery! remember?

4. Loud music; it has always been win but u can never have enough [thread]

5. Handouts full of win: pamphlets, Gold InfoPack CD ROMs, cards, badges + other viral marketing

6. YOU and your friends: In the City, Bustin teh Cultz

7. ?????????????

8. Profit!

I've been trying for ages to get my hands on one of these masks, i posted a reply to the thread asking if anyone was interested in a mask. I just wanted to get another one in case something happens.

Also, what do you guys think of “Tax exempt, much?” as a slogan?

i have made a lulzy handout for Aug16 - although i am not as well versed in Oz tax issue stuff as i could be. if any1 can provide more input/etc i can make changes and/or do a reverse side as well. i give u: TAX-FREE Dianetics Dollars:

have made more generic Oz version (Has Anonaus.com link vs Anonsa.org link on the SA version) + sauce philez if any1 wants to have a play

@1919 re: masks - don't sweat it if u can't find the legit 1. u can always go t-shirt ninja style and if peeps have any masks @raid then bonus. i have been sent a bunch of aussie flag themed masks similar in style and shape to those white spotlight masks, so should have some to give out @raid 2.

That is the best handout I've seen in months dogfud. well done, I salute you sir.

I might have a go at editing it, see if i can get it a bit more readable, or maybe even double side it.

that's great man.

By all means, 1138, have a play :) It's a bit of an unfinished idea really and could use some collaboration. I have a sweet stencil pic of that cute couple Cruise and Miscavige, shaking hands at the Medal of Valour ceremony that would work perfectly on the reverse side?

Just a thought; a B&W version printed/photocopied on coloured paper might work out a lot cheaper too.

Hopefully more ppl will be willing to accept these handouts, just out of curiosity, as opposed to yet another B&W 1/4 page flyer. It also gives Anons lots of cues to start talking about money/tax issues ie “Here, have some tax free dollars - Scientology have plenty to spare!” or “You've been paying Scientology's taxes for years, let them pay yours for a change!”

INB4 'Scilons will pin us for counterfeiting!
Not if its a different size, different shape, different colour: obviously fake money is obviously fake

@ Ketinator! <Slaps face with Salmon! Then hands over a jumper> On your feet soldier! In a peaceful protest kind of way! =)

Good to have you there!

@ Anon1138 / DogFud.

We really don't need both sides of the bill done. It's effective but minimal information really. I reckon it may be better to have have it one one sided, and have some facts on the other. Or even a petition that they can sign and mail in!

Also as for colour we could do it in black and white and just colour it with a green pencile.
We will need a b&W version anyway as not everyone will be able to print colour.

i did a reverse side for the Dianetix Dollarz… had some 'fun' trying to get both sides aligned with my printer… xenu knows wot fun a photocopier might be…

so i altered the design - deleted the borders and the background on the davey-tom side so its not so noticeable if you have a few minor alignment issues…

Apparently, last protest.. The group that went back to the city for round 2 (after fullarton rd in the morning) there was a stink bomb thrown in to the Scientology office.. This behaviour is not acceptable, and while not particularly harmful in itself, it reflects badly on the group and could be interpreted as far more sinister. Please DO NOT take any direct action against the church, if anything like that happens on the weekend, it will be immediately reported to the Police.

Also, cops are sorted and happy with everything for this weekend.

The hell? Was that one of us or someone 'pretending' to be one of us to make us look bad?

I was in the group who went back, and I didn't see anyone do that. So this seems strange. The office was closed while we were there, unless they slipped it through the mail-slot?

Look, I'm only reporting what I'm told, and what I was told was that Scientology reported that we threw a stink bomb inside, I personally wasn't there, so I can not comment personally - Up until I was told by the cops today, I have not heard anything regarding the issue previous. Whether or not it happened, I do not know, if we did, don't do it again whoever did it, and if we didn't, Scientology - you failed yet again.
