well i showed up a bit late (wet, but that's another story…) to find about 20-25 well drilled anons braving wind and rain in front of the CoS on Waymouth St.
numbers may not have increased from the first two raids, but the quality of anons has; every1 had flyers and handouts (the dianetics dollars that look like $1000 bills, tri-folds, roses etc) and good knowledge of 'the issues'
there were plenty of signs including a huge arse bed sheet reading 'tax the cult -scientology is not a religion IT IS A SCAM' that was particularly full of WIN.
something was missing though: no guards posted out the front of the scientology building! maybe it was our comments about getting the guards a good pay rate on Saturdays? or maybe they just felt ridiculous 'guarding' a building from a bunch of punk kids in plastic masks and iPods :P
or perhaps they were just inside the building filming us? i counted 3 cameras this time, rather then the usual 1 – sound right?
passer-bys were very interested, as usual, many taking handouts and initiating conversation themselves. we walked thru the major shopping area of the CBD; King William St, the Mall and then down Rundle Street. the mall absolutely loved us, with loads of ppl taking photos of us, coming up to us for handouts and this anon was even chased down by a guy who'd missed out on getting a 'Dianetics Dollar' (the fake $1000 note with all the anti-scilon tax info and linx on it) and he was over the moon when I thrust a handful in his direction!
rundle st was prolly a bit narrow for enturbulation in retrospect (especially going past the restaurants towards the end) but we were well-received nonetheless. we setup at Rymill Park, the parklands at the end of rundle st, and continued light enturbulating duties until the lure of beer was too much.
all in all an awesome day. loads of handouts disseminated, positive response from the public, brilliant effort from everyone concerned and we didn't get too seriously rained on!
