Although it would be a shame to miss the Chanoloversary, there are a number of people I know that would not be able to attend on the 14th, due to prior commitments. The 21st allows more time to organise and allows more people to attend. If people aren't happy with that we could do something symbolic on the 14th, perhaps a Valentines mini-raid, to remind our friends how much we care. Then continue with the proper protest on the 21st.

90% of the posters get ripped down within a day if it's in a prominent location, I've seen from previous raids, but this doesn't mean it's not worth doing.

I think you might have more luck doing some laps in pairs around the city (focus on foot traffic hotspots) with a cardboard, almost- body length sign LEGIBLE BOLD SIGN that says some shit like:

"WE'RE BACK."

It was a modest turnout, 12 people, All in guy fawkes masks. 2 noobs without masks came along, but a friendly anon provided them with guy fawkes masks to 'fit in'.

No matter what time of the year, it's still a damn good sight to see us all suited up and walking down the street.

An overwhelmingly positive response, one anon brought a sign which said "SCIENTOLOGY IS DESTRUCTIVE XENU.NET" on one side, and on the other "SHOW US YA THETANS." which garnered more than a few smiles.

Teenagers who apparently have been living under a rock for the past year came and talked to us because it was all new to them, and a positive impression was left – being more informed.

Perhaps the best part of the raid was when we were down rundle mall with signs, in a tight bit of pedestrian traffic and two police officers walked well within our personal space and just kept on going.

not even an eye budged, we know, because we were watching them.

a true neutral party, but clearly seeing that we're peaceful, truly showing that the adelaide police department know propaganda when they see it. the Adelaide Org of Scientology has accused us (yes, adelaideian us) of some terrible things that I daren't give credence by repeating.

the route was our normal one and we went right up to where the garden of unearthly delights was, as we were turning around to head back down rundle street, people who worked for a certain promotional outfit came and wanted to get photos of us next to their vehicles, which we obliged, we await pictures.

when coming back down rundle street, a young boy passed us and said to his mother "why are all their faces the same? are they brothers or something?" which caused hearty laughter.

we stopped by the org on the way back for about half an hour, they had the obligatory black curtain up.

pro tip scientology: we know what the inside of the org looks like, you can take it down, we think you need a little sun anyway. It's very interesting seeing us go from 3 full time burly security guards and police presence, to no security guards and the police walk by as if nothing was ever any different.

we handed the last of our fliers out on the corner (there's not much foot traffic on waymouth) and bid goodbye 'til we meet again.

Well done people! Apologies for not being able to attend, I'll also be away in March so kudos to those who have the fortitude to keep things going! Xenu is with us! LOL!
