Well it was scheduled to be a chill out month month of course… (no winter pun intended) so we were really just aiming to make a presence..
In the morning there were about 13 or so of us there. Two police cars drove slowly down the road parallel to us heading up the side walk. An anon spoke to them, and as usual their just there to keep it peaceful, and stop confrontations..
At the venue there were about 6 or more police? We believe this was due to the fact that this was a larger scilon event, and the community centre was a simply a harder place to police (unlike their hq on Waymouth St, where 1 or 2 are enough.) We kept across the road, spread out, had the radio jamming casually and got good exposure to the motorists. (Another reason we should end up at Rymill in future..)
Afterwards there was a move to head to the HQ again at 2.. wasn't there for that tho.

This was my first raid but i thought it went pretty good with a good reception by most motorists certaintly got the word out well. I had my camera but neglected to take any photos, but im sure the vid will go up soon. We saw a couple of members of scientology coming and going and looking away from us but over all i believe it went quite well.
And one of the more interesting features of this one was the police presence these are the numbers from my memory. Once we started arriving there were 2 cars (3 or 4 cops) at the meeting point in the parklands they followed us down to the Fullarton Park community centre where there where there was 2 paddy wagons and approximatly 3 more patrol cars with a total of about 8 officers hanging around waiting for us, at this point i added it up to be about 10 police (to 13 anons, not a bad effort) once we had crossed the road and talked to them about our intentions, some of those headed off leaving 6 officers spread around the grounds of the community centre however after about 30 mins they relised we had no bad intentions and just stood in a group opisite us chatting.

I loved the two patrol cars following us down fullarton rd at walking pace, blocking off one lane.. Then having one parked out the front of the Community Center on the road with its lights on.. Helped to slow down traffic and bring the motorists attention to us :D

I'm glad it went well. Though wow on the police presence, sounds like they were expecting trouble. You guys handled it all really well.

Well done to those who made it on Saturday
Is there still any liason between anon and police dept – and if not could this be reason for more police presence (it appears COS tactic is now trying to convey to police depts around the world that they are scared and fearfull of anon )

There most certantly is, I get a call a few days before every event to get a gauge over how things are going to work. I think half the time the CoS phone it in before I get a chance, which is useful in picking up my slack. :D
The cops usually know how its going to go down, and I don't think they expect any actual trouble from us. Usually their concerns are to do with blocking traffic and not letting anon get hit by cars. Standing on the opposite side of the road is usually at our own doing and is not technically required (espically at the community center) but it does garuntee that CoS have no legal grounds for procecuting any of us for any reason.
The cops have been very good and friendly to work with and I have no problem what so ever with them, nor do they have any problem with us. They remain a neutral party, and as officers can not align to either side (but a few have spoken to me as individual citizens, and do very much agree with our goals).

Yeah agreed. Also keep in mind that for many of the public including police, the 2pm good weather May 10th numbers from the youTube video were what they were expecting rather than 9am, rest month, raining in winter numbers. Whilst I attribute much of it to the harder to police location, I suspect Scilon Inc are trying to push stuff behind the scene.. E.g. didn't som officer say that they'd seen violence at a U.S. protest on YouTube? Could this be made/concoctoed/pushed by Co$ to combat our peaceful / bob Marley / tetris breakdown fest from May 10th. ? Plus perth anons on Enturb said that there were scilons pretending to be 4channers, challenging them as a new bullgaiting tactic! Of course when fake-anon had a camera pulled on him he ran =) that;s why we where masks lol!
Oh and a suspected scilon in perth in a window tried to drop a coke can on some anon! =) lol!
Fair game in action! Oh no! Lol! perhaps was working for Brock Partners.

I'm really happy with the relationship we have with the local police. Particularly as there seems to be a step-up in nasty tactics on the side of the Scios. There were a few incidents in the US at the protests, I understand. Good relationships with the police=win.

Apparantely Perthanon think the guy was a 4channer.
Yeah we've done an excellent job there, lets just make sure we keep it good =)

I was really impressed by that article. I meant to post that I'd uploaded it, but then along came the dreaded RL and I caught a cold and whine, whine, whinge, well, I forgot. Oops!
But yeah, it's a great article. Covered everything really well, I thought.
