How do we feel about a raid at the end of October? There are two potential dates depending on peoples availability, Saturday the 17th or 31st?

Whois interested in comming? Or has any suggestions about what they would like to see in Adelaide?

I am most likely not able to raid October and possibly November due to working saturdays. It is possible i may be able to attend the 31st but it might be difficult, need plenty of warning to arrange shifts.

Peace.

17th would be better. hopefully I'll have my mask by then (just ordered one). I'll be able to make either date and probably bring a few people along with me. This is my first raid and I'd be happy to help with signs/fliers/organizing etc, PM me if you need anything.

It seems the 31st is the better option. Shall we say 2Pm at the regular spot? Victoria Square?

I just came across a song that would be a nice addition to upcoming raids.

MC Lars: "Scientology = WTF?!"

It's basically a fun/catchy song that gives a brief humorous aspect to the story and current Scion celebs.

Have a listen here.

Peace.

PS. At moment i will still be unable to attend any raids until mid-late November =(

Sweet! Is it 1 or 2pm meetup at Victoria Square? I might come, just waiting for a friend's decision.
I'm new to this, can anyone tell me the "routine" of these raids?

Saturday the 31st of October 1PM is the date of the protest. We will wait for 15-20 mins for other anons to arrive.

The meeting place and route is as usual. We start in Victoria Square then move to: ->King William Rd ->Rundle Mall ->Rundle St->Rymill Park.

Wear something cool as it looks like it will be sunny/hot on Saturday. We will have masks for purchase ($7) on the day. Those who are coming or have any additional questions post a reply here or PM me so we have an idea of numbers.

Bring flyers if you're able i've included a flyer for people interested in printing.

Evening gentlemen. How welcome is a newcomer?

I would be delighted to join you, and happen to have even more than $7. Is another mask available?

Is it possible to simply turn up?

Do you guys know if chalking sidewalks is allowed in Adelaide? It looks like a lot of fun and we could leave some peaceful & informative reminders for the good people of Adelaide. This city is protected by Anonymous!

See y'all there! <3

P.S. Will anybody be recording? Epicness is epic.

Hey guys,

Just a heads up regarding the chalking.. from what we understand, chalking sidewalks (cos it is temporary and short term and washes off normally via rain) is legal. But not ok on buildings or private property.. dig?

However, I personally (along with a few of the others who looked into this b4 as a trial run) thought it not so great.

a) From a Public Relations angle, i don't believe your average passer by is informed of this and will probably perceive this as not good / not ok and akin to minor graffitti so probably not the best 'medium' / method to get our message across.

b) One time when this was tried, scilons starting calling police and trumping it up and they police asked the anon questions… no negative consequences.. but still it just isn't a 'clean, clear cut' form of getting our message across. If you do chalking (particular at protests) it leaves you in one location, taking ages to chalk up an illegible message, and possibly prone to engrammed scilons filming exagerating things etc.. and isn't as efficient / disposable as a prepared sign.. plus a vertical sign is better and more visible than on the floor one!

So yeah, its legal – as far as we can tell, but I think your better off preparing normal signs and leaving large triangle ones on street corners if you want..

Btw, if you can get photocopies of the newspaper articles anti-scilons e.g. the recent french thing, or the Jane Lomax thing or the Mike Rann thing… then its probably the most 'credable' thing you can hand out so why not poster those up, or hand those out?!

Soz I'm not physically helping as much these days.. life has taken over… ;/

Very good points, chalking isn't a good idea. Flyers from recent events in the news sounds like a good direction for November and beyond (unless anyone wants to do some last minute flyer making?). We will be taking video and photos tommorow.

Feedback:

I'm the fellow who was wearing the suit, and my thanks for the lending of the mask. More signs and/or flyers would have been great.

So long as it is on a weekend, I should be good for the next one.

P.S. Should have played 'Surfing Bird' by The Trashmen.

We persevered against the heat and had a sucessful raid. We didn't have flyers this round, but we made do with our banner and sign (thanks for bringing that along). There were quite a few honks of interest from the public.

If anyone wants larger images goto: http://www.anonsa.org/wpg2?g2_itemId=6274

Hey guys, I thought the march went fairly well (I was the dude with the sign).

Would you guys be interested in creating a Facebook group? It might be helpful in spreading event invitations/information to newbies that may be interested in joining the cause.

For the next raid, I'll probably get some fliers as well as a better sign (as opposed to that 15 minute job I whipped up at 11am the morning of the raid Yell). I think it would also be good to have some 1-on-1 conversations with members of the public who seem genuinely interested in what we're on about.

For song choice, I agree with C, Anon C. Surfin' Bird – The Trashmen is a great tune to raid to.

In conclusion, we forgot teh caek.

Ruddy out~
