My mother was contacted by a man called Roger Fuller yesterday on our unlisted home phone number. He asked to interview me on my views on Scientology. I won't be marching again guys. This guy knew my name and my number, chances are he knows where I live, I need to protect my family and friends. I don't want to put them in danger through my actions. I'm not safe if I'm not anonymous, and neither are they.

I thought as my last anony-act I'd post this thread for discussing any phone calls or other threats anyone recieves, this is the first one I've gotten and the last I plan on getting.

In 1995 Germany ruled that Scientology is not a religion; and if anyone could spot a dangerous fanatical movement, before it gets out of hand, its the Germans

do NOT forget that we are all obeying the law and completly within our rights to protest. nothing we are doing is wrong or illegal.
but harrasing people in their homes, bugging their family, threats, intimidation, sending bogus 'Cease & Desist' letters bereft of ANY legal authority to do so: this action from the CoS is NOT cool nor is it particularly legal. they are in the wrong here, not us. DON'T FORGET THAT.

when scientology pressures or intimidates ppl to prevent them from participatring in LAWFUL activities it is not acting within the law or in the interest of the communtiy at large. this kind of standover tactic is the cancer killing democracy; it is a footbullet for scientology.

go to the police. make a report.

also, do not post about this online: u are just confirming the CoS were 'right'. keep it in private messages, IRC etc also, it would do u good to re-trace yr steps n found out HOW they 'found you'

for the rest of us: if u get a 'letter' or a threatening phone call, don't admit anything. demand to know who the hell they are and what right they have to be distrubing yr right to peace and quiet.

tl dr; u r acting lawfully, the CoS is not; report their harassment to the police

How they got your details sounds in breach of the privacy laws. File a complaint to them with demands to destory all pesonal information they may have on you. If they don't reply within 30 days with proof of the destruction and fully explaining how they obtained your details from public record. Take the complaint to the Privacy Commision, and the government will take them to court, there are very strict privacy laws here in Australia, and you do have the ability to protect your personal information.

Guys, I think we should count this as a 'fair game' report. intimidation of a known younger anon. this is pretty damn low.

psychedeas: we're sorry to lose you at our protests, which I can understand why you wouldn't want to come.

however I encourage you or perhaps your mother to make a police report. The police and the public need to know that 'fair game' still exists, and this is just yet another example. EDIT: ^ DO THE ABOVE FIRST.

You made it your goal to remain anonymous, wore a mask to our protests to protect your identity, and they specifically sought you out and hassled you personally, on your home phone number for expressing your views in a PERFECTLY LEGAL MANNER.

This should not however proclude you from telling your friends about Anonymous vs Scientology, and in fact, should give you a prime example of their tactics.
