This is something that I think is really important, however, like you, I'm not entirely sure where/how to start looking.

I think what we'd need would be someone familiar with the ATO charity forms and an accountant who can explain said forms and the whole thing to us. Because the whole thing is really confusing.

IIRC, Pooks posted some fliers from Scio on Enturb which had in nice, big letters, CHARITY IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA. I'll dig up the link, might take a while as it was a while ago she posted them.
