A long time ago in a galaxy far far away…. Anonymous did an interview with Entropy Magazine (UniSA student magazine) http://www.anonsa.org/wpg2?g2_itemId=4937

The current issue has the response from Scientology =) Usual crap that never addresses any of the questions being asked… Seriously you'd think if u were PR -bitch you'd actually deal with the things being said about you? Well I guess if you can't.. cos ur wrong / lying you'd avoid it. My favourite parts are where the Queen Scilon (Vicki Dunstan) suggests that people only misinterpret mainstream religious teaching but never Scientology! Oh, and the part where she says to the interviewer: "It sounds highly unlikely the facts were reported as you gave them there. Are you yourself from Anonymous?"

http://www.unisa.edu.au/unilife/entropy/default.asp

See Page 6 (Letter from the Editor…) + pages 26-27.

Apparantly there is a full interview on line somewhere but I can't find it yet.. Post the link if you do.

I really enjoyed reading it, felt so good to see the scilons backed up into a corner unable to give a proper response. What i love most was the response to fair game:

SCIENTOLOGY: Yes, exactly. There’s nothing in the Church that says that.
SCIENTOLOGY: That’s not an L. Ron Hubbard reference. Whatever you’re reading there is a
Church policy. It doesn’t exist anywhere in our policy – it’s a fabrication.

Rofl priceless.

What sort of religion (well in this case you would have to stretch the word religion to include things that arent really a religion) would allow such criticism on a policy to float around and give the response "its a fabrication"?

Thats like saying jesus is still alive and the catholic church saying "its a fabrication" when really they would be saying something like "the bible yada yada yada yada specifically explains *goes into detail* that yada yada yada" etc etc you get what im trying to say.

Edit: I would also like to see scientology give a comparison between say anonymous protesting the practices of scientology, compared to teachers protesting their own pays and benefits etc. I don't think they would call that "free slander".

Edit II: I know they had a response to the today tonight segment on child labor and gave a pretty lame reply, i would have also like to have seen a question/reply to the segment on Narconon.

In 1995 Germany ruled that Scientology is not a religion; and if anyone could spot a dangerous fanatical movement, before it gets out of hand, its the Germans

yo dudes,

yr probly all over this but this web page http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Fishman/Declaration/index.html  presents a declaration filed by Steven Fishman on April 9, 1993 in which he included the OT (Operating Thetan) materials as exhibits in his case against CO$.

Its all there OT I all the way to OTVIII ! just bits (few pages of each), but enough to laugh at and circulate.

and WHAT a laugh itwas. Some good stuff too re christianity…they wont like this.

..Jesus was not nearly the sainted figure has been made out to be. In  addition to being a lover of young boys and men, he was  given  to  uncontrollable  bursts of temper and hatred…

Exerpt (OTVIII) from the Fishman Papers

if old news….you can call me a newfag & disregard.

@ Anonstray – OMG! THat is insane! Lol! It's new news to me ! Lol! thanks for that!

@Tone 40 yeah I think I did but may have misplaced it! Dang… =( It was a good article. 10 internets to those who did it!

@ Everyone. Let this be a reminder that we are making an impact.. if even after 3 or so months the mother ship is obsessively trying to counter PR battles they already lost, you can see we are effective. Also to read a counter article like that an 'know' that noone believes it anyway is also very satisfying to my thetan. =)

i'm no legalfag, so don't take this as gospel… but if the OT material is covered by australian copyright, doesn't it need to be registered n lodged with the relevant state librarys? it was my understanding that anything published in australia, must be registered with the library and copies given to them.

What is the role of the National Library?
(from: http://www.lawhandbook.sa.gov.au/ch09s13.php)

The Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) [s 201] requires that a copy of all published library material – such as books, journals and pamphlets – must be deposited with the National Library of Australia. International Standard Book Numbers (ISBNs), which are printed in the publications, and identify them, can also be obtained from the National Library. In addition to this the States have their own deposit requirements – for example, copies of all library material published in South Australia must also be deposited with the Mortlock Library and the Parliamentary Library of South Australia. [Libraries Act 1982 (SA) s. 35]

can't picture OT1-8 sitting on the shelves at the Mortlock library… morevoer, copyright only exists when u take some1 to court, sue them and have it proven (Ibid)

"Copyright need only be proved if copyright ownership is disputed in court."

so, unless the scilons know yr identity and serve u with papers, i'd say you're fine to hand out the OT materials in a renegade fashion :P but again, i have as much legal knowledge as a chewed pen lid… so don't bet your house on my advice!
