Question,
Does anyone have any general ideas on how the general public view what Co$ say about Anonymous, ie; Scientology say Anonymous are group of cyber hackers and religious bigots, do the public generally agree with this?
Just curious about the general view, if anyone has any ideas.

In 1995 Germany ruled that Scientology is not a religion; and if anyone could spot a dangerous fanatical movement, before it gets out of hand, its the Germans

Almost everyone I speak to agrees with our cause. Public opinion does side against Scientology, however most people are somewhat uninformed about them, and see it as some crazy alien religion which tom cruise and a number of other celebrities are a part of – they don't know much about the orginsation itself, only that its kind of weird.

You'd sorta assume that statement right there would be enough to give scientology a bad reputation amongst a larger croud.

The reaction is varied, but boils down to the same thing – CoS do not want.
I've found that people know basically the same thing – L. Ron Hubbard founded it, they believe in Xenu, Tom Cruise is one, John Travolta is one, members stand on corners in town and try to push you into taking their questionaire thingy and give them your money.
Some people think that protesting is 'meh' and don't care; others think that the protests are awesome; still others can't get to physical protests but leap at the chance to do the little things, like the youfoundthecard cards, etc. So overall, in my demographic (30-45) the overall view on what we're doing is positive and a lot of people think Jane Lomax-Smith is a bloody deadset legend now.

The general teen populace I've come into contact with either know what $cientology is and are all for the protests, or they just think that CO$ is a bunch of nutcases or they have no idea about what it is, other than that Crazy Cruise is in it.

I agree most people just think that scientology is a crazy religion with tom cruise and dont care too much past that. They have heard stories such as silent birth but dont seem to care much beyond there and hence dont know of and therefore dont have a view on anonymous.

^ Yeah. Most people think they're just crazy not dangerous. Quite a lot of people at my school haven't heard of Anon because they seem to live under rocks.

when talking 2, i find the vast majority are aware scientoloy 'is not quite right' but don't have all the facts at hand to fully form an opinion they can really get behind 100% – woman's day has peaked their interest, but they're not sure how TRUE the tabloid claims are
this leaves us with a very easy job – simply confirm that YES their instincts are right on this one (ie Scilons are dodgy) and then gently point them in the direction of moar info (linx, dox, etc) so they can discover their own truths for themselves
POW!

I do think we need to actually put more of our views in one document. E.g. most people will actually read our fliers I think. I think rather than just saying who WE are.. E.g. Anon is a grassroots peaceful protest group etc..
Maybe print a folded A4 flier addressing the core issues:
E.g. The Sea Org. Disconnection. OT3 & Xenu. The Tax issue (esp with U.K.) The OSA. Why R they dead etc.
This will at least give them the Full picture to discuss. (Plus if we add links that'd be good!)
As for what the public think of us?
I think people instinctively trust conservative opinions.. (e.g. the rich / business / goverment) so I doubt people actually believe Anonymous are a super steroide hacker hate group or anything like that.
I think the publics opinion of us is what we see in the street, either its'
a) Oh no.. whats going on.. who are these masked people.. OR..
b) Lol! Hey yeah 'screw scientology!

The Fair Go Not Fair Game brochures from April were really good. They're how I found you fantastic hooligans, it was just a little bit of text but it had a lot of info, I'd say we should use those again.
