While browsing some videos as i do on youtube i was absolutely disgusted to see a huge animated advertisement for the church of $cientology, i immediatly screen print this and message the youtube help center. How is this acceptable to society? advertising religion is one thing, but advertising a religion that almost EVERYONE knows is either a) suss or b) weird as shit.
How long has this been going on? What are the legal regulations to advertising in such community websites?
Screen print coming soon

In 1995 Germany ruled that Scientology is not a religion; and if anyone could spot a dangerous fanatical movement, before it gets out of hand, its the Germans

Note EPIC LULZ where achieved. Look at the name of the video i was watching.
EDIT: I was looking through my account to find my ad preferences on youtube and found this.
Arts & Humanities – Books & Literature
Computers & Electronics – Consumer Electronics
Computers & Electronics – Hardware
Entertainment – Celebrities
Entertainment – Fun & Trivia
Entertainment – Movies RemoveEntertainment – Music – Rock & Pop
Entertainment – TV – TV Programs
Games – Video Games – Cheats & Hints
Reference – Biographies & Quotations
Those are my current preferences, i assume they are default ones or based on my search history. I don't see religion can be applied to any of these areas. They are completely seperate from this it would seem.

this is not 'control'.
this is scientology trying to control bad PR (eg us).
they spend A LOT OF MONEY on google advertising for keywords like 'scientology' and 'thetan' and shit so that a link to 'their point of view' (ie, bullshit) is a click away.
somehow they think this will net them more members.
incidentally, this is how enturbulations adsense account got revoked, because you know… they talk about scientology… so scientology ads were coming up… so anon was clicking them for the lulz.
yeah, it's against googles policy.
so just remember
every time you see a scientology ad… that's scifag money pouring down the toilet.
click it… if you're behind over 9000 proxies, costs them MONEY.

It seems the Co$ desperatly wants Youtube. Have you all seen the new scientology commercials? They mimic FightClub.

Ah yeah its terrible.
You know i was thinking today. If you drove past a CoS center and saw a large sign out the front that said something like "HUBBARD CAN LEAD YOU" or something similar, you would be pretty damn angry, right? But if you saw say, a catholic church with a sign out the front that said "JESUS CAN HEAL YOUR SOUL", you wouldn't get angry at that would you?
Obviously there is a clear difference between these two things, but if you were neutral towards both religions, would it be wrong to think one is more wrong then the other? Or would, again, have neutral feelings towards both?

I think even if a person were neutral/ignorant about the cult, they would feel a little dodgy seeing a religion started by an "ordinary" man speaking about him on the same level that real Christian churches advertise the messiah, the son of God outside their places.
Btw today I saw some fundie church with the big sign outside saying "HOSPITAL FOR SINNERS"
